Authentic Vintage 1880s Black Silk Puffed Sleeve Bodice. Machine and hand stitching. Looks like the gathered puff sleeve caps were added later when sleeve styles were changing into the 1890s. Full button front closure. Fine detail crochet buttons. No boning. Lined in brown cotton. Remnants of black lace can be found at the cuff edges. Gathered black silk ribbons accent the cuff edges. Band collar at neck. There is some silk shattering at the sleeve cuff edges. An old repair under one armpit. Small break in silk at the neck closure. A broach would hide this. Back black satin bow on back tail.
